As Carrie takes a walk along Myrtle Beach, she shares the importance of each member in the body of Christ and encourages you to not be afraid to do whatever the Lord created you do and to have the eyes of Christ as you look on others and even yourself! Whether your role is to pray for others, encouraging others, heal, teach, preach or whatever He invites you to do, don’t be afraid to be who He made you to be!
Jenn Johnson’s explanation of the song…
Carrie brings you a brief word of encouragement from the shores of Myrtle Beach on the Fourth of July.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Corinthians 3:17
Have you ever cried out to Jesus in seasons of pain and seasons of joy? Have you ever gone through times when only the love of Christ got you through it? I sure have!
While reflecting on such times and seasons, I penned the song, ‘You Were There’. I hope it reminds you that you are not alone.
“I will never leave you nor abandon you…” – Jesus, Hebrews 13:5
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
ps- This is the first time I intertwined percussion on the guitar while playing.
While hiding out in my bathroom for some serious privacy, I decided to take advantage of the acoustics by playing a song my dear friend, Zoe Whitesall of York, PA, wrote called ‘Faithful Father’. Check it out and let me know what you think!
On May 17th, 2017, Carrie scribed this song about our Heavenly Father called ‘Oh, Father of Mine’.
When you realize the Father sings over you and loved you first, it becomes easy to sing back to Him. My only response can be love.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been afforded the opportunity to play around on my guitar. Last night, I finally got to do so… Enjoy!
What would be the chances of finding a dark-skinned gal named LaTonya or LaToya, with a nickname of “Toto” on Memorial Day weekend in Myrtle Beach on the street corner across from where I live? 1 in million! Seemingly impossible, right? I was beginning to think so too.
But just when Memorial Day was coming to a close and as I was feeling like a failure in my God-appointed assignment, lo and behold, “LaToya” appears right in front of me..precisely where God showed me in my vision! Watch the video to find out what happened!! A memorable Memorial Day indeed!
Check out Carrie’s previous videos for the full backstory “The Scary Assignment” and “Wherefore Art Thou, LaTonya or LaToya?”.
Did Carrie find the infamous “LaTonya” or “LaToya” during Myrtle Beach’s Black Bike Week? Watch the video to find out…
